Retiform Technique

This post which includes a video shows my take of the retiform technique, also known as the grid technique. This technique uses marks to build up an ordered grid to frame yout stamped images. It works best if the stamped image overhangs the gris and this helps give the composition some depth. While it’s stated that stamp images with more solid coverage is better, I have used both, i.e. stamps with a more solid coverage and with less coverage.

This technique can be done by anyone, that is, any level of crafting abilities. Use any shape and any of the stamps that you have to hand. It’s such a versatile technique and one of those so simple and still allows for a ‘wow’ result. Give it a try!
