Clean and Simple Cards with Hero Arts stamps and rainbow ink blending

This post is for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with a Clean and Simple (CAS) theme using Hero Arts stamps, if owned. I was excited when I saw this as I love CAS cards and when I started crafting more than 15 years ago (with a huge sabbatical the last 10 years due to life - kids and work) I mainly acquired Hero Arts stamps. So the Hero Arts products I use in these cards are from a long time ago and likely not available now. I will link to those products I can find.

Sending Smiles Card

The stamps used in this cards are two Hero Arts stamps - Asian Frame and Sending Smiles Message.

I started the card by using post it to mask of a strip on the card length-wise and proceeded to ink blend a raibow using distress inks in the following order, Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn, Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin and Candied Apple on 80lbs Neenah white card. Stamped ‘Sending Smiles’ sentiment from Hero Arts Sending Smiles Message stamp in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Heartfelt Thanks

The main stamp for this card is the Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy stamp. I use the Hero Arts Poppy ink cubes to stamp the layers of the poppy flower stamp on 80lbs Neenah white card. I also use Altenew Olive and Moss Crisp Dye Ink pads for the stem and leaevs. Stamped ‘Heartfelt Thanks’ sentiment from Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy stamp on 80lbs Neenah white card.
