Spellbinders July 2021 Large Die of the Month
This post shows how I use the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month, July 2021. This set can be purchased via a subscription with Spellbinders - but don’t worry you can cancel the subscription at anytime and join again as many times as you want. However I see that this set is currently available at the Spellbinders shop at a 15% discount.
The Mini Slimline Envelope & Nested Card Creator dies are fun to use and I love die cutting and assembling those little flowers and leaves…something I tend to do while watching TV.
I have not made a slimline card before and these dies forged the way forward with mini slimline cards and evelopes for me. I also made an envelope for each of the three cards I created.
Check out the video below to see how I create these cards:
Dimensions for card and belly band:
The mini slimline cards measure 3 3/8” by 6 3/8” to accommodate the largest die in the set and to fit in the envelope created from dies in the set.
For the belly band, do the following:
Cut card strip measuring at least 8 1/2” by 1 5/8”
Place card in a Scor-Pal board, any scoreboard with grooves or use a ruler and scoring tool
Score at 2 1/2” and 2 3/4” and then score agin at 6 1/2” and 6 3/4”
Fold card strip at score points
Fold card strip (belly band) around the mini slimline envelope (with card in envelope)
Secure belly band with double-sided tape
Decorate belly band as desired
