SSS Monday Challenge – Unused Product

This post is a special card made for a loved one and I am also submitting it for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge which requires one to use a new or unused product. For me this was the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions which comes with coordinating dies. For those in the UK, I got my set from Seven Hills Craft at a reasonable price.

I used the Altenew CAPS BOLD ALPHABET Dies for the ‘Hugs’ sentiment and again from Seven Hills Craft for those in the UK. I used three shades of grey card stock to for the card strips that I cut using the Pinkfresh Studio Slim Stripes.

For my first card I used maroon velvet paper to to die cut the sentiment ‘Hugs’ and stamped the ‘from us’ stamp from the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions stamp with Versafine Crimson Red ink pad and die cut it with the coordinating die.

Then I thought the maroon velvet paper was a little dark with the light pink background and decided to make another card using pale pink cardstock in my stash to die cut the sentiment ‘Hugs’ and stamped the ‘from us’ stamp from the Waffle Flower Sentiment Additions stamp with Altenew SILVER LAKE Crisp Dye Ink Pad and die cut it with the coordinating die.

Which card do you like better – the card with the pink hugs or the one with the maroon hugs?
