All About Layering 2 - Altenew Crown Bloom Stamp Set

This post shows how I make cards inspired by the AECP All About Layering 2 online class. Check out this online class, it’s free on Altenew Academy. The main stamp I use is the Altenew Crown Bloom combo. Also used are various other Altenew stamps for sentiments - Courageous You, Paint-A-Flower Hydrangea, and Sentiment strips.

Do check out the video below to see how I created these cards.

The key thing that resonated with me from the online class, All About Layering 2, is that for the more complex layering stamps, following the layering guide with clearly highlighted markers will result in rather perfect layering of colours with the four shades of colours in Altenew colour combos that make up an ink set.

This is the first time that I use the Altenew stamp conditioning eraser and am impressed wiht it. Using it requires only one stamping as the ink adheres to the stamp well providing a crisp stamped image the first time.

I enjoyed trying various colour combos for the flowers and shall keep in mind the combos that I like for future projects. The ink swatches that I have created for the Altenew inks have helped greatly in choosing the colours for cards.

For the partial flower on the back, ink colours used are Mountain Mist, Starlight, and for the flower centre Icy Water and Polar Bear. The outline bouquet was stamped with Silver Stone.

The leaves outline is stamped with Evergreen and first layer stamped with Frayed Leaf and second layer Forest Glades - part of the Green Fields set.
