CAS Christmas Cards

This post is for the Christmas Craft Creations Challenge of Aug 2023 with a theme of Clean and Simple (CAS). I use the House Mouse Designs, Mistletoe Kiss cling stamp for the two cards I create. Images are stamped and coloured with Altenew’s Woodless Watercolor Pencils.
I do love being part of this challenge as I get to create Christmas cards every month, I will not be creating my Christmas cards the last minute and mass producing them, and with such a varied theme, I push myself to create lovely cards that I get to give out come December! Win, Win, Win, all around!
The steps taken to create both cards are similar, just a slightly different assembly. I have a VIDEO which includes a couple more cards that does not quite follow the CAS theme, but it does include the creation of the first CAS card below.
Steps:
Insert watercolor paper in stamping platform. Note: as this is a cling stamp, remove foam pad, if using MISTI.
Place stamp on watercolor paper and ‘pick up’ with stamping platform door.
Treat watercolor paper with anti-static powder, as there will be heat embossing.
Ink stamp with Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Close door of stamping platform and gently press with stamp press tool. Note: as the watercolor paper is not smooth, stamp twice if image is not clear.
Remove watercolor paper from stamping platform and sprinkle with clear embossing powder.
Melt embossing powder with heat gun.
Colour image with Woodless Watercolor pencils and use clear water and paint brush to spread pigment, as desired. Note: layer colours after paint has dried to create pleasing results.
Assemble card with circle die, woodgrain white card and add bow.
