Altenew Level 2 AECP - Impressive Heat Embossing Techniques
This post shows how I create five cards for the Altenew Educator Certification Program Level 2 class, Impressive Heat Embossing Techniques taught by the very talented Svetlana Marchenko. I was reminded of the many techniques of embossing powder and the one technique that I have always been partial to is emboss resist. I also created a card with Ombre embossing and one embossing on vellum. Creating faux metal die cuts with embossing powder is also fun and looks great on a card - I have a faux metal element in each of the five cards!

RANGER Distress Oxide Inks Prize Ribbon, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry
ALTENEW Vase Fillers Die (the die cuts are inked with Versamark ink and heat embossing with silver embossing powder three times to create the faux metal look)
RANGER Super Fine Silver Embossing Powder
ALTENEW Just Leaves Die (the blue leaf branch on the card was die cut in vellum and coloured with the Prize Ribbon distress ink)
ALTENEW Sentiment Strips 3 Stamp
RANGER Super Fine White Embossing Powder
RANGER Distress Micro Glaze (used on the exposed distress oxide inks so it becomes water proof and does not react to moisture or oils from your hand or environment)
