This post which includes a video shows how I create three pink Christmas cards with cross stitching, stencilling, and foiling. I created these cards for the Christmas Craft Creations February 2023 challenge which has a theme of Pink. The deadline for entering is Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 6pm GMT.

Check out the video below.

Card #1

Check out this video to see how I create a stitched image as above. Here is another stitching video that might interest you.

I die cut the cross stitch panel with Altenew Pegboard Canvas die using Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and used DMC thread to stitch the image.

The thin frame was die cut with two stencils from Waffle Flower A2 Layers Die set, taped together. A few layers of this frame was also glued together and attached to the back of the stitched panel to account for the thickness of the thread.

Once the frames were glued to the stitched card panel, attach to a rose pink card base.

For the sentiment, stamp ‘to the world’ from the Waffle Flower Oversized Joy stamp set with clear embossing ink on black card, sprinkle white embossing powder and melt embossing powder with a heat tool. Die cut sentiment with Altenew Featured Sentiments Die. Die cut a few layers and attach to card front with liquid glue. Use a t-ruler to ensure that the sentiment is straight on the card front.

Card #2

The Taylored Expressions Let It Snow Layered Stencils comes in a set of three. The first two stencils are of images of snowflakes. Align the stencils on a Neenah Solar White 80lb card and apply ink from Altenew Cherry Blossom Crisp Dye Ink set with a mini blending tool.

For the final stencil that has various sized of dots, apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo with a palette knife. Leave to air dry until it is clear. Then cut the Wild Cherry Deco Foil with a quick trimmer and place on the card panel and run through a die cutting machine.

Cut the card panel to size of card base and attach with double-sided tape.

For the sentiment, stamp ‘sending snowflake kisses’ from the Spellbinders Mini Christmas Greetings stamp set with clear embossing ink on black card, sprinkle white embossing powder and melt embossing powder with a heat tool. Die cut sentiment with sentiment strip die. Die cut a few layers and attach to card front with liquid glue. Use a t-ruler to ensure that the sentiment is straight on the card front.

Attach tiny pink gems amongst the foil dots with a gem picker tool and liquid glue.

Card #3

The Gina K Designs Perfect Poinsettia Stencils comes in a set of four and clearly labelled #1 to #4. Align the stencils on a Strathmore Bristol Smooth card and apply ink from Altenew Cherry Blossom Crisp Dye Ink set with a mini and small blending tools.

The third stencil has a group of various sized dots for the centre of the poinsettia. Apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo with a palette knife. Leave to air dry until it is clear. Then place Wild Cherry Deco Foil on the card panel and run through a die cutting machine.

Cut the card panel to size of card base and attach with double-sided tape.

For the sentiment, stamp ‘Season’s Greetings’ from the Waffle Flower Holiday Labelmaker stamp set with Versafine Clair Chianti on white card, sprinkle clear embossing powder and melt embossing powder with a heat tool. Die cut sentiment, layer with a few strips and attach to card front with liquid glue. Use a t-ruler to ensure that the sentiment is straight on the card front.

Attach pink pearly gems on card front with a gem picker tool and liquid glue.
