Water colouring with Twinkling H20
This post shows how I make a card for the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge which has a theme of Love/Hearts. As I want to get better at watercolouring, I decided to take out my Luminarte Twinkling H20s which I’ve had for a very long time and colour the beautiful flowered heart in the Simon Says Stamp Botanical Heart stamp.
These cards with the Botanical Hearts are to thank loved ones for being in my life…my world.
Please watch the video below that demonstrates how I used the Twinkling H20s to create these cards.
I used Canson watercolour paper and stamped the Botanical Heart stamp with Versamark ink and sprinked black embossing powder and heat embossed with my WOW heat tool.
Using the MISTI stamping tool (or any stamping tool) helps as the watercolour paper is not smooth and thus may need to be stamped a couple of times to ensure a crisp image.
Painted with Luminarte Twinkling H20s using a Princeton size 2 round brush.
I heat embossed the sentiments with gold, white and purple embossing powders for the cards depending on the colours of the flowers to ensure the sentiment popped.
Used Waffle Flowers A2 Layer Dies and A7 Layer Dies to cut the various card layers.
Thanks for stopping by and do leave a comment - have a lovely day.
