Around the world themed card

This post is for a card that I made for the Waffle Flower Week 3 in May 2021 Around the World themed Challenge. I did not have any stamp or die that would relate to this theme. Initially I wanted to do a scrapbook page - however after choosing pictures of our family trip to Rome and Paris, the local store where I usually print my photos was closed. So it was going to be a card. I use Tim Holtz’s Map of Paris stamp (a very old wood-backed stamp) and pair it with the sentiment ‘Merci Beaucoup’ with Waffle Flower Bold Alpha and Wide Alpha dies set. Needless to say I also use the Waffle Flower A2 Layers Dies for this card. This card is for my sons’ French tutor, who has been excellent during the lockdown, continuing with lessons via online classes.

I cut down the card panel with the Waffle Flower A2 Layers Dies for a card panel slightly smaller than an A2 card. Then stamped the Map of Paris stamp on 110lb Neenah Solar Crest white card stock with Color Box White Pigment ink, sprinkle with clear embossing powder and heat emboss with WOW Dual Embossing Heat tool. Then Ink blended the right and left of the card panel with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink and Candied Apple Distress Ink respectively.

The Waffle Flower Bold Alpha and Wide Alpha dies sets were used for the sentiment ‘Merci Beaucoup’ with satin silver card for teh top layer and three layers of scrapp card beneathe in for dimension. Backed the card panel with fun foam for further dimension and placed on A2 card front.
